One of our guests brought the Northern Lights to Hakone. Not in the sky, but in our dining room. “Kendama saikō!!” 🎯🔥 University students from different countries met here in Hakone. One Japanese-British 🇯🇵🇬🇧 and one American 🇺🇸 — and they were actually really good at kendama! The two students later found a local restaurant for lunch — even one I didn’t know about! 🤩 They told me it was delicious, affordable, and very generous in portion 😆👍 I might have to try it myself soon🤤 A lovely student from France 🇫🇷, currently studying Computer Science at the University of Tokyo 🇯🇵📚✨, also stayed with us with her friend. Her Japanese was so natural and fluent — we were impressed 👏✨ She even made an origami Totoro 🌿 This is what we love most — young people from around the world connecting in one place😄👍 Not just a stay in Hakone.
