Kintoki Shrine is located at the base of Mt. Kintoki, one of Hakone’s most popular hiking trails. With fresh greenery at its peak, we recommend hiking the day before, relaxing in our private natural onsen, and visiting the festival the next day. A very special reunion in Hakone 😄🇯🇵 Mr. Okuma, a former senior colleague from Ted’s JTB days, returned with his longtime friends from Australia, Michael & Sandy, for a 2-night stay. As it was Michael & Sandy’s birthday last week, we celebrated together 🎂 They also enjoyed bamboo shoot digging and Kendama — a true local experience.😆👍 Over the years, Mr. Okuma has brought many wonderful guests to our guesthouse and created meaningful connections. One of those was through the “People to People Ambassador Program,” through which we welcomed thousands of students from the United States. The program was founded by Dwight D. Eisenhower, the 34th President of the United States, and at the time was led by his granddaughter, Mary Jean Eisenhower.
