Fire⁉️😨 No — this is the annual grass burning at Sengokuhara, Hakone.😊👍 This tradition prevents forest overgrowth, clears old reeds, and allows fresh, healthy pampas grass to grow.These flames create the golden fields you’ll see in autumn. A 250-year-old tradition 🔥 Yudate Shishimai ritual in Sengokuhara, happening today. A sacred ceremony from the Edo period where hot water is sprinkled for good health ♨️ This ritual has continued since the days when Hokusai was still young‼️ Not a tourist show—this is the real Japan.
